MASTERING WOUND CARE
A wound is a breach to the normal structure and composition of skin. Wounds may result from trauma or surgery or may be induced or aggravated by health conditions such as diabetes, asthma, vascular and inflammatory disorders. Proper wound care prevents infection and other complications, and also helps speed up the healing process with less scarring. This course utilizes best practice instructions, online videos, and customizable discharge and patient wound care checklists to educate patients and their families on the skills needed for recovery and wound healing. The course is useful for Patients and Caregivers, Surgeons, Nurses, and Medical Professionals. Accredited for six Continuing Education Credits by the Boards of Nursing in Florida, District of Columbia, and Georgia.

Mr. Kassim Allibalogun, RN, BLS, CPR, holds a 2008 Bachelors’ degree in Nursing from Shenandoah University, Winchester, VA. Upon graduation, he joined John Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland, where he currently holds the position of Nurse Case Manager II. He also functions as a Wound & Ostomy Treatment Associate, working with the Wound Care Ostomy Nurse in teaching, demonstrating, assessing & managing wound / ostomy patients.
As the RN Case Manager II, Mr. Kassim Allibalogun supervises nursing care for a group of patients usually in the setting of the patient's home. He employs the nursing process to develop and implement plans of care for patients requiring in-home health and support services. He also provides health teaching to patients and care givers, preventive health screening, in addition to advocacy for the patients in obtaining health-related goals.
Mr. Allibalogun is a veteran of the United States Army, having served as a Corporal and Squadron Leader of a detachment of 3rd Infantry Division, Ft. Stewart, GA between 2000 and 2003. He is an enthusiastic self-starter with demonstrated outstanding clinical knowledge and successful track record of delivering high quality nursing care to patients in accordance with up to date, evidence-based professional practice.
